Warmest June on Record Globally: According to a report from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration or NOAA. Last month was the warmest June on record globally. It is sobering to note that this is the fourth consecutive month in a row of record high temperatures worldwide (footnote State of Climate Report July 16, 2010 National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) With the inclusion of July's record we now have six months of record global highs in a row.
"The State of the Climate Report", released in early July tells of warmer-than-average conditions across nearly all continents, including much of the United States. Previously the warmest June on record was in 2005. June marked a record low in Arctic sea ice as well. This makes it all but impossible for Polar Bears to prey on its main diet - seals. Give your prayers that the Polar Bear's will adapt and learn new hunting skills for the ice free Summers.
Even though the Global sea surface temperatures ranked the fourth-warmest on record, it was the combination of both land and sea anomalies that pushed the June 2005 record to the 2010 high. The same is expected for July and
August as well.
The debate regarding global warming is over. Our planet is heating up. Whether that is from human activity or not can be debated and what the effects we should expect are fair to be argued. However, no one can dispute the fact that our global average temperature is on the rise and so far nothing effective has been done to curtail the heat from greenhouse gases.
CosmoSapien is the next logical step for mankind. Once we have reached for the stars and looked to another source of truth beyond ourselves we entered the final frontier. There is a fierce flame in us here on our Mother Earth. But from here to eternity we are called CosmoSapiens or Wise Ones of the Stars.
